 Lord, remember in your mercy both the just and the unjust:

Redeem them Lord who are addicted to:

— Alcohol
— Lying
— Narcotics

— Shoplifting

And mercifully strengthen all those who are predisposed to addictive behaviors

Human Sexuality

Lord, lead all of us into continence, with tolerance of each other in any unfaithfulness, but avoiding the abdication of truth and reality.

Shed your light on all who are tempted with:

— abortion
— deliberate avoidance of parenthood because of inconvenience
— divorce
— extra-marital sex
— self-abuse
— rape 

Grant that all people come to know and accept your will and holy purpose in the delicate matter of sex and the human person.

Give us the grace to please you in what you intended in bringing us into being.

All Human Interaction

 “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man.” (James 3:2)

I pray for those whom, consciously or unconsciously, I have offended—and for those who, wittingly or unwittingly, have offended me. In either case, it is I who am at fault.

Conform us to the pristine and fundamental teachings of the Church.

Relieve us of all unfounded prejudice and dissent.

Teach all people that our present life is both definitive and redemptive.

Lead all troubled Christians into peace.

I pray for the Conversion of Cynics
 

“The will of God is against those who suppress the truth by wickedness. What can be known about God is evident because God made it evident. His invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been understood and seen through what he has made.

Therefore, they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:18-20)

Lord, the truth is available to everyone, but cynics do not want the obligation that truth would entail—they rail against, fault, and oppose the truth because it places demands on them. But when we place our own will, our own pride, and our own comfort above the demands of truth, it is inevitable that everything will fall into decay.

And so, Lord, I offer to you all cynics for conversion.
Preserve us and them from the decadence of opposing evident truth.

O Lord, I offer you…
The Estate of Marriage and Family

— You have given us these institutions, now give us the grace to maintain them.

— Give us the grace to properly prepare for marriage and to make a good marriage.

— Give us the grace to have children and to establish strong families.

The Church maintains there can be no real intimacy without commitment. Whether it’s a relationship with another person—a spouse—or with God, the amount of intimacy we are able to achieve in that relationship is directly proportional to the commitment we have to it.

— Bring all of us to ourselves, that therewith we might be with you, and therefore in proper relation to all others.
